With the ongoing blockade and lack of international engagement in Gaza, we believe that the personal narratives of young Palestinians captured in films can greatly influence public opinion. We have been partnering with many organizations to support advocacy and fundraising for Gaza, through screenings of our film Flying Paper.
We the directors of the Flying Paper would like to partner with you by organizing fundraising screenings of our film Flying Paper around the world.
Flying Paper is the story of resilient Palestinian youth on a quest to shatter the Guinness World Record for the most kites ever flown. This unique, family-friendly film promotes awareness and advocacy for the people of Gaza. The film has been screened in over 40 international film festivals and is being distributed by Journeyman Pictures.
If you or your organization is interested to host a screening of Flying Paper in your community please contact us.
Flying Paper has a good relationship hosting fundraisers with the following charitable organizations providing emergency relief in Gaza: Middle East Chlidren’s Alliance, Palestine Children’s Relief Fund and the Gaza Community Health Program. We are also raising money for the production of a pair of new documentaries focusing on the work of courageous journalists and artists living and working in Gaza. Co-Directors Nitin Sawhney and Roger Hill are potentially available to present the film, and are local to New York City and San Francisco Bay Area. We also have other committed team members in: San Luis Obispo, London, Cairo, Gaza, Jerusalem and Belgium who may be able to host these special events.
Please check out www.flyingpaper.org/watch to learn more about Flying Paper and to preview the film online, or purchase the DVD.
We look forward to hearing from you!
